Support of Sports Associations
For a number of years, the Company has demonstrated its interest in the sports of local communities through sponsorships to Sports Clubs in Corinth and in other regions of Greece.
Compliance with Environmental Legislation
ZOONOMI SA has an environmental awareness, implementing and maintaining Standard Environmental Commitments. Additionally, is responsible for the:
- temporary storage of its waste in specific areas, as well as their regular disposal to authorized external providers
- cooperation with licensed providers for the regular collection of its recyclable waste
- annual declaration of waste disposal in the platform of the Ministry of Environment and Energy
- cooperation with alternative waste treatment providers
- deodorization of the derived gases for the good aesthetics of the surrounding area
- monitoring on an annual basis the particle emission concentration and the generated noise via measurements from an accredited laboratory, in order to comply with legislative limits
- information of the customer on how to manage waste packaging materials
Use of Non-Genetically Modified Organisms (NON - GMO)
The company is using non-genetically modified raw materials for its products. It also constantly conducts evaluation of its suppliers and those with the required certificates are preferred (Pro Terra, Valid-IT, Non-GM Protocol, etc.).
Sustainability
The company ensures that all marine origin raw materials supplied, do not come from species which, according to the IUCN red list have been classified as “endangered”. Especially for raw materials such as Fishmeal / Fish oil, it cooperates with approved suppliers after evaluation and:
- Verifies that they come from approved sources (e.g. via certifications such as Marine Trust, Marine Stewardship Council-MSC or country & species traceability)
- Requires traceability of species and country of origin to be available
- Demands that they do not come from species similar with the one on which the product will be provided
The company tries to integrate into its production process products that originate from the processing of fish, in order to promote the sustainability of marine species.
