Partnerships with Institutions

Committed to the continuous advancement of the aquaculture sector, our company actively incorporates the latest scientific developments into its production processes. To this end, we have established strong partnerships with leading research and academic institutions in Greece and internationally. These include private agreements, such as our partnership with the University of Thessaly, as well as participation in high-impact research initiatives like the FEEDACTIV project. Through these efforts, we ensure that scientific innovation is effectively translated into practical solutions with measurable impact.

The project focuses on developing functional fish feed using bioactive compounds of marine and herbal origin. It aims to improve the productivity of European aquaculture with environmental, economic, and social acceptance.

Our role as work package leader is to formulate and produce functional aquafeeds for European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax), Gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata), Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), and Carp (Cyprinus carpio) and to conduct LCA and LCC analysis of procedures and products. FEEDACTIV has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Framework Programme (HORIZON) under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 101086261. The duration of the project is 48 months (2021-2025). https://feedactiv.eu/
