As a partner in the Horizon Europe-funded FEEDACTIV research project and leader of Work Package 5 (WP5), Zoonomi was proud to participate in the 3rd FEEDACTIV Workshop, held on May 26–27, 2025, in Messina, Italy.

The workshop marked an important milestone in the joint effort of the project partners to develop functional aquafeeds enriched with bioactive compounds from plant extracts, with immunostimulant, antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. The goal of the project is to enhance fish immunity, health and welfare in aquaculture, with the ultimate aim of reducing the use of antibiotics and promoting more sustainable farming practices.

Our R&D team, alongside other project partners, had the opportunity to present recent findings, discuss upcoming deliverables, and explore the technical integration of bioactive ingredients into aquafeeds under real-world production and farming conditions.
