Calypso

A nymph who lived on her own island, Ogygia, where she held Odysseus captive after the Trojan War for seven years before allowing him to return to his homeland of Ithaca, where his wife Penelope awaited him. Calypso lived in a cave at the entrance of which there were a garden, a sacred forest and many springs. She used to eat ambrosia, drink nectar and had the ability to make people immortal.
